The WiFi Finder is
the original wireless LAN "Hot Spot" detector. It is a consumer
electronics product that has been well received by the market. A patent

The concept was to build a
device that would quickly identify the presence of wireless networks. The
Kensington WiFi Finder was the first device on the market. It eliminated
the need to boot your laptop to determine if wireless LAN service was
available.

The original WiFi Finder was augmented to increased the
displayed range of signal. 802.11g and Bluetooth® signal detection was

These are patch antenna arrays
that realize gain of 10dBi. The verification of performance was completed
using our in house measurement facilities.

The array pattern is plotted in
"blue" with a reference dipole plotted in "red". The
dipole pattern was produced using time domain gating.
